Drops Love You 5 in :-

Purple (No 117) – 150 grams, 225 meters

Heather (No 127) – 200 grams, 300 meters

Lavender (No 116) – 150 grams, 225 meters

5.00 mm Hook

Needle for weaving in ends

Tension :- 4 cms x 4 cms = 6 trebles x 3 rows

PATTERN

1st Stripe :-

With Purple chain 12.

1st row – Treble into 4th chain from hook and then make 1 treble into each chain until end, (9 trebles & 1 starting 3 chain = 10).

2nd row – 3 chain, 1 treble in each stitch to end, (9 trebles & 1 starting 3 chain = 10).

3rd – 100th rows repeat row 2.  Finish off.

With right side facing attach the purple yarn to the bottom right hand corner make 5 chain.

Slip stitch into the 1st post of the 2nd row.

Continue making 5 chain and slip stitching into the 1st post of the next row to the top.

Fasten off.  (99 loops along the side)

2nd  Stripe :-

With Lavender chain 12.

3rd Stripe :-

With Heather chain 12.

JOINING

With right side of the purple stripe facing starting at the bottom right hand corner weave the lavender yarn up and under each loop to top.

(Make sure you pull plenty of yarn through as this is the yarn you will be crocheting with).

With right side of the lavender stripe facing join the yarn to the top left hand corner.

Make 5 chain remove crochet hook and pass the chain over and under the 1st loop of the purple stripe (bringing all excess yarn with you), slip stitch into the post on the 2nd row of lavender stripe.

* 5 chain remove crochet hook and pass the chain over and under the next loop of the purple stripe (bringing all excess yarn with you), slip stitch into the 1st post on the next row of the lavender stripe.*

Repeat from * – * down the 2 stripes. (If you are running out of yarn that is threaded through the loops on the purple stripe pull some more through from the bottom of the purple stripe up through the loops).

Fasten off.

Next with right side of the lavender stripe facing starting at the bottom right hand corner weave the heather yarn up and under each loop to top. (Make sure you pull plenty of yarn through as this is the yarn you will be crocheting with).

With right side of the heather stripe facing join the yarn to the top left hand corner.

Make 5 chain remove crochet hook and pass the chain over and under the 1st loop of the lavender stripe (bringing all excess yarn with you), slip stitch into the post on the 2nd row of heather stripe.

Fasten off.

BORDER

With right side facing and starting on the 1st post in the 3rd row from the bottom of the right hand side join the lavender yarn.

Make 1 chain and 1 double crochet in this post, make 2 double crochets in the 1st post of each row along the right hand side.

At corner make 5 double crochets,

work along the top make a double crochet in each stitch including the chain which forms the loop on each side of the different stripes.

At corner make 5 double crochet.  2 double crochet in the 1st post of each row down the left hand side, 5 double crochets in corner, 1 double crochet in each stitch along the bottom, including the chain which forms the loop on each side of the different stripes, 5 double crochet in corner and 2 double crochet in each of the first 2 posts on the right hand side.  Join to 1st chain with a slip stitch. Finish off.

(Count – 198 stitches on each long side (inc 1 starter chain), 4 x 5 corner stitches, 29 stitches on each short side = 474 double crochets).

Weave in all ends.
