Catherine Wheel Colourway Pattern

An Autumn Walk Colourway Pattern

Catherine Wheel Blanket/Afghan

finished-catherin-wheel-blanket-1

I want to thank the ladies who have asked me for my colourway when I have posted photos of the blanket/afghan.  This is it and therefore it is mainly for the colourway that I done my Catherine Wheel stitch blanket/afghan in.  It is for a single bed size (approx. 41 inches x 69 inches or 104 cms x 175 cms) and the amounts needed are for this size.

There is a lot of good Catherine Wheel tutorials on the internet that I don’t think I need to add to.  I have given the pattern for the border in Catherine Wheel mainly for the corners as I know this can be difficult and I did have a bit of head scratching on how best to conquer the corners.

I have called it An Autumn Walk as the colours I picked while making the blanket reminded me of Autumn from the golden sun in a clear blue sky to the changing of the leaves.  I hope you enjoy making the blanket/afghan as I did and it reminds you of kicking leaves on an Autumn Day.
